365 Days of Gratitude instead of just 30

Today is November 30th and the last day of the “30 Days of Gratitude” Challenge.  If you haven’t noticed, most people have been posting something they are thankful for each day on their social media profiles or blogs.  I didn’t post each day, but have tried to post weekly on my blog. (You can read my other 30 Days of Gratitude posts here).

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” – Melanie Beattie

Today I wanted to remind you all (and myself) to be stop, show and share your gratitude 365 days out of the year and not just 30 days in November.  What would life be like if we were all as grateful, happy and giving throughout the year as we are during the holidays?

Being grateful keeps us humble. Being grateful keeps our focus on what we have instead of what we don’t. Being grateful reminds us to help those who are less fortunate. Being grateful changes our attitudes, actions and reactions.

Let’s not let 30 days of Gratitude end, let’s turn it into 365 Days of Gratitude.  Let’s continue to reflect on what we are thankful for each & every day. Most importantly, let’s continue giving to others and being a little more kind, caring and patient with those around us. Being grateful can change your life and even better, it can help you change the lives of others.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. – John F. Kennedy
