Aloha Friday 2/15 – What do you procrastinate doing

Aloha Friday friends! This week sure has flown by. I am still busy trying to catch up from being without my laptop and files for a week and then being out of my house/home office for a couple days while my landlord was having the house re-wiring. I am trying to do better about not procrastinating and just jumping in and taking care of work that needs to be done even if I am tired or don’t feel like it. It can be discouraging when you get behind and you wonder if you will ever catch up… Just keep swimming though, right?

Aloha Friday

If you are new to CEO of Me® (Welcome!) in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. I used to participate in an Aloha Friday link up but the blog that hosted it is on temporary hiatus.  I wanted to still do this in the New Year though as a way to just have some fun and get to know YOU all a little better.   I have been to Hawaii twice and absolutely love it there! (The picture is one I took in July 2011 in Oahu.)

Basically how this works is I will ask a question and you guys can comment with an answer. This is a fun way to get to interact, meet new people and maybe make new friends.   Occasionally I will randomly draw a winner from those who comment for an Amazon gift code too!

So here is this Aloha Friday’s question: Since we have been talking about procrastination a lot, what is one task, work related project or household chore that you always put off to last or try to avoid completely?  What do you think  you can do to stop procrastinating when it comes to that?

My answer: For a household chore, I usually put off doing the dishes because I just don’t like doing them, lol… I could improve and try to improve by just taking a couple minutes right after I eat to wash the dishes instead of waiting until the end of the day (or the next day…).  For work chores, making or returning phone calls is a big one that I procrastinate on because I hate talking on the phone or I just get busy and forget until late at night when it’s too late to call.  I think if Iwould start using a phone message book / notebook again (which is what I used to do) and left it open on my desk that would help me remember and tackle making and returning those phone calls on a timely basis.

    I totally get the procrastination thing. ;) Household related would have to be putting away the laundry. I have a habit of letting it sit folded on the laundry table until there isn’t any more room. Ha. Work related it would have to be making my weekly schedule at the beginning of the week. My week goes much smoother when I do.
