Even though we should focus on our inner beauty, I don’t think there is anything wrong with using makeup and other beauty products to help bring that inner beauty outward too. In fact, when we feel better about our outward appearance it helps us feel and act more confident. I know that I always feel more confident when I have pretty makeup on and my hair is shiny and full of volume. (Admit it, you know what I am talking about!)
Kelly Kirby is the owner of SpaDelic and is an established makeup artist and beauty consultant who recently chose to escape the world of corporate cosmetic sales to pursue her dream of helping other women feel beautiful inside & out. (Love that she is another “CEO of Me” who has a similar passion of desiring to inspire confidence in other women too!) She is a frequent guest Artist for Laura Mercier Cosmetics, featured Trade Show Artist for Mirabella Beauty, an A-List member of Makeup Artists of Atlanta, and has been an Allure Beauty Expert for over 10 years.
Kelly helped choose out some makeup products for me to try from Mirabella and sent me several samples. She also gave me some tips on how best to apply the makeup and has been great to follow up with me on the products and my experience.
I have to admit even though Mirabella is a big-name, salon brand, I was a bit nervous to try their products. I have very sensitive skin and had tried another “big-name, salon” brand mineral makeup in the past and not only did I not like it, but it seriously irritated my skin. Kelly’s passion for the products and testimonials from others made me decide to give it a try though. I also was excited to see that their products are Paraben-free, Talc-free, FD&C Dye-free, Oil-free, Lead-free and Fragrance-free.
I loved how lightweight the pure press Mirabella mineral foundation felt on my skin and how flawless it made my face look. It was very easy to apply and provided coverage for several hours before I felt like I needed to re-apply the powder. I also tried the Eye Definer pencil, Lash Essentials mascara, Lip Lustre liner pencil & Colour Shine lip gloss. I was very impressed with all of the products. I loved how the Colour Shine lip gloss felt on my lips and how it did not dry them out. (Yes I have weird sensitive lips too and usually cannot wear lip stick or lip gloss at all so I was very surprised I could wear this lip gloss.)
I have to say that my favorite product from Mirabella is the Lash Essentials Mascara! I seriously could not believe how much longer and fuller it made my lashes look. I also love that it did not get too thick or clumpy or flake off after wearing it all day long.
Even though Mirabella is a salon brand, the prices are not that much more than what I had been paying for the brand I was previously using. I probably would not have tried Mirabella on my own though, so I have to say a big thanks to Kelly for introducing me to it! Here is a recent picture of me wearing the makeup. It’s obviously not a professional picture and the lighting wasn’t that great but I felt my makeup looked so good in it (and I had a halfway decent hair day that day too!) that I decided to use the picture for my new welcome image (in the sidebar). I also set it as my Facebook profile picture and I had lots of likes and comments on the new picture.
