Have you ever wanted to visit our National Parks? Maybe it’s the Grand Canyon, Denali National Park or the Gulf Islands that incites your desire to travel? Have you visited one of our parks on a favorite family vacation in the past? Whether you are stuck at home this summer or want to relive memories of those past vacations, Air Wick®’s new National Park Collection can help you experience the fragrances of those majestic parks right in your own home now.
Air Wick® is offering six exclusive park fragrances in support of the National Parks Foundation to preserve and celebrate the purity and beauty of America’s over 400 national parks. The fragrances were crafted by fragrance experts who spend hours and hours working to create fragrance notes that represent the same types of scents you would experience in the National Parks.
The six park scents available and their description include: (descriptions per Air Wick®)
–Grand Canyon: Be awestruck by the breathtaking majesty of Grand Canyon National Park and discover the subtle floral notes of delicate cactus blossoms carried in the warm summer breeze.
–Virgin Islands: Find yourself in the idyllic paradise of Virgin Islands National Park and uncover the delightful notes of tropical plumeria and sweet honeysuckle.
–American Samoa: Explore the lush paradise of American Samoa National Park to experience the sweet refreshing notes of native coconut and island palms.
–Denali: Seek renewal in the sun-drenched valleys of Denali National Park to breathe in the clean notes of pure cotton grass and fresh spring air.
–Gulf Islands: Bask in the fragrant scents that take you to the Gulf Islands, rich in white sand beaches and seashores that evoke sun-drenched sweet notes of a summertime paradise.
– Hawai’i: Escape to a tropical island sunset at Honokohau National Historical Park and savor the unspoiled notes of exotic papaya and hibiscus flower.
My favorite scents are the Hawaii and the American Samoa. Having been to Hawaii twice, I can definitely say that the scents take me back to those gorgeous beaches and sunsets. The hibiscus and papaya remind me of the luau’s and climbing Diamond Head Volcano. It is a perfect scent for summertime! The American Samoa has a great coconut scent that just makes me want to pack my bags and head to the beach! Even though I can’t do that right now, the scent still helps me relax and unwind after a long, stressful day. A cold, fruity drink with an umbrella in it doesn’t hurt either.
Tropical Fruit Drink Recipe:
1 Carton of Orange Juice
1 16 oz can of Pineapple Juice
1 Bottle of White Grape Juice (you can substitute for Sprite if you want more of a carbonated taste)
Mix well and refrigerate for several hours. Best if served really cold.
Add crushed ice to make it even more delicious
(If you only want a single serving – mix 1/3 Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice & White Grape Juice or Sprite in a 16 oz cup.)
A really fun idea would be to have your own “staycation” adventure one weekend at home this summer. Choose one of the National Parks with your family to explore. Research the parks and the areas they are in, the types of fauna and animals, the local foods and native crafts that would be found in or near the park. Come up with some fun crafts and projects related to the park or area to do. You could also set up a tent in the back yard and camp out and pretend you are in the National Park of your choice. You can use the Air Wick Fragrance collection to help set the mood and experience the scents of the park.
