I am sure you have seen many offers to take surveys and make money. There are a lot of scams and some survey sites send you a lot of spam. There are however a few sites that are totally legitimate where you can make some spare change as well as earn free prizes and gift cards.
A few things to keep in mind when it comes to taking online surveys:
1. Set up a separate email address that you use only for the survey sites.
2. Read the fine print! Do not sign up for sites or offers that require credit card information, any form of payment, or your social security number. If you choose to sign up for something that has a 30 day free trial but you must call to cancel it, then make a note on your calendar to call and cancel. Do not sign up for something if it looks spammy or not legitimate. Use common sense, if something doesn’t look right to you, then don’t sign up for it.
3. You may also want to set up a free voicemail box through Google Voice so that you don’t have to give out your home or cell phone number.
4. Remember that it takes time to make money with surveys or to earn points for gift cards and prizes. If you can spend 30 minutes to an hour a few days a week, you can make some extra money. You can also earn points for prizes and gift certificates as well as cash on some of these sites. It’s not a get rich quick deal.
